IREALP takes part to the European Satellite Navigation Competition 2010

IREALP takes part to the European Satellite Navigation Competition 2010, opening a window on its activities and the use of satellite technology to support services in the mountain areas.

The Foundation will present an overview of its activities during the Italian Regional Kick-Off and Navigation Workshop will be held on June 11 at the salon Villa Gallia, Via Borgovico, 148 - Como (CO - Italy).

The invitation to present their activities at the event comes from the work and know-how gained in the use of satellite technologies, mainly those of navigation and positioning.
IREALP is partners and / or leader partner in several European and regional projects in which the institution has always stood for the proposal of innovative ideas based on satellite technology for the preservation, care and enhancement of mountain ecosystem.

For example, one of many innovative services being developed by IREALP is a system, based on satellite navigation system, to monitor the road freight traffic in the alpine countries.
The goal is to provide an additional tool to decision makers in order to find "new ways" and streamline the freight.
