After graduating in Engineering for the Environment and the Territory at the Polytechnic University of Milan, he immediately started working in the field of territory planning and development for an architecture and urban planning studio.
After a short cooperation with DIAP at the Milan’s Polytechnic University, he participated in the preliminary studies for the Water Clean-Up Plan of the Lombardy Region and cooperated with the Municipality of Casatenovo (Lecco) as coordinator of the ecology department of the Public Works and Ecology Service.
From 2002 on, his cooperation with IREALP allowed him to gather an in-depth knowledge of the mountain environment, both from a territorial and from a cultural and social standpoint.
He designed and coordinated several territorial planning projects including a Social-Economic Development Plan and some negotiated planning tools (PISL), both regarding purely technical and scientific aspects and relating to the setting-up and management of partnerships.
He is particularly involved and interested in developing interdisciplinary projects (involving cultural, environmental, and social issues) that have an impact thanks to innovative actions implemented through a sustainable and systemic approach to the territory, specifically in mountain areas. His present role within IREALP is that of coordinator of the Territorial and Strategic Development Area.
