Notice

The Lombardy Regional Assembly has approved the Regional Law (RL) n. 14 of August 6th, 2010, with the aim to streamline its system of regional agencies.
Thus, the RL n. 30/2006 was modified and, amongst other provisions, it was decided that the IREALP Foundation shall be closed, transferring its competences regarding mountain areas to the Regional Agency for Services to Agriculture and Forestry (ERSAF).
Starting from August 11th 2010 the administrative bodies of the Foundation (its Board of Councillors and the President) have been removed from office and a Special Commissioner in the person of Mr Fabrizio Ferrari (former President of IREALP) has been appointed by decree of the President of the Lombardy Regional Government n. 8048 of August 11th,2010.
The Commissioner is in charge of dealing with current businesses of the Foundation and shall draw up a complete picture of its activities for a smooth transition into ERSAF, possibly as from January 1st 2011.
From that date, all IREALP’s, properties, real estate, staff, obligations and contracts, assets and liabilities shall be transferred to ERSAF.
Therefore, the research function that IREALP has been fulfilling since 2000 for the mountain region of Lombardy will not be lost; rather, it will be developed further within a different and more robust context.
All the activities and projects actually in IREALP will continue regularly, in accordance with its existing plans, until when they are officially transferred to ERSAF.
For further information, please contact the IREALP offices in Milan, Chiuro and Brussels.
