AIMS
IREALP intends to promote European and Lombardy mountain areas, as a new competitive territorial model, characterized by an innovative context and a high level of the quality of life.
To this end, in setting up its initiative, IREALP believes it is essential to continue investing on a territory research and knowledge - “field knowledge” – thus becoming a direct promoter of projects and initiatives, also at a European community level, whose base is represented by this aspect of knowledge of the territory and whose fundamental prerequisite is the direct and proactive involvement of the territory itself, in close collaboration with regional, national and European authorities.
IREALP methodological approach allows making the Institute action more and more concrete and efficient in favour of the mountains, with the objective of consolidating its role as a meeting point at an institutional level and in terms of competences.
IREALP is an "Ente Strumentale" (public or private-public body set up for the provision of services and goods that are instrumental to the carrying out of the activity of the body itself) of the Lombardy Region and it is part of the regional system, set up by the Regional Law 30/2006 art.1.
